About Stipelo

A small, plain guide to a topic most families meet only once the forms are due.

Most people first meet education aid in a hurry: a deadline, a letter, a word they have not seen before. Stipelo exists so the vocabulary makes sense before the rush.

We explain what grants, scholarships and work-study are, how to read an award letter, which documents are worth gathering early, and how to recognize a scam. We keep the language plain and the claims modest.

We do not award or offer funds, take applications, tell anyone whether they qualify, or match people with schools or lenders. We do not share your details with anyone who might want to sell you something.

We write from general, widely shared guidance, such as that published by the U.S. Department of Education’s Federal Student Aid office, state higher-education agencies and consumer-protection agencies, and we point to those public resources when they are the best place to learn more. If something here differs from what a program or school tells you, they win.
